Are the 2ndCell Batteries replacements for the manufacturer’s Battery Packs?  

2ndCell Tool Power Products are an alternative Power Source for Cordless Tools.  Using proprietary battery technology and a unique Patent Pending tool interface, the 2ndCell Tool Power System is 100% compatible with the most popular brands of power tools, giving the user more and longer lasting power.  An example of everyday use would be if you are going to be using different types and voltage power tools for extended periods of time, say doing functions like using nail guns, power saws or fabricating multi-part assemblies.  The flexibility and power of the 2ndCell Tool Power Source is ideal for these kinds of tasks.

How does the 2ndCell Batteries attach to my tools and what kind of tools?

The 2ndCell Tool Power Source utilizes a Patent Pending tool interface or what we like to call an “appliance”.  2ndCell manufactures various 12, 14.4 & 18 Volt tool interfaces or appliances for many of the major power hand tool manufactures.  These can be purchased separately from you local construction supply wholesale distributor or dealer.

You say that I can switch from one type of tool to another.

How do you do that?

As stated above, 2ndCell Systems manufactures 12, 14.4 & 18 Volt tool interfaces for many of the major power tools used on the job site with more releases out all the time.  Let’s say you start with an 18 Volt DeWalt saw, do the work, then need to switch to a 12 Volt Ryobi drill driver.  All the workman needs to do is change to the matching tool interface that is to be used and keep on working because you don’t change the power source, just the quick connect tool appliance.

You say that 2ndCell Tool Batteries are more powerful and last longer? How come?

It is simple.  2ndCell Tool Power Source Batteries have a higher density due to our specific “dry” lead chemistry and 2.5 Ah “D-Cell” metal encased construction, providing the user with more raw power and a much longer service cycle life while completely eliminating the dreaded “memory effect” caused during recharging with most other battery chemistries in use today.  We at 2ndCell Systems can say with confidence that the user will gain a minimum of twice the Power & Real Work accomplished using the tools that they have and use today.  There is no need buy all new tools to get the tool power you want.

Do I need a special charger?

No.  The 2ndCell Tool Power Source can be recharged with most 12, 14.4 or 18 Volt chargers that you already have. The 2ndCell Tool Power Source can be recharged to 80% in less than an hour and up to 90% in 4 to 6 hours with these off the shelf chargers.  2ndCell does offer an Optimized Charger that can be purchased separately.   With this charger, the 2ndCellTool Power Source can be charged to a 95% recharge.

Do the 2ndCell Systems Batteries weight a lot more than the standard battery packs?

The 2ndCell Systems batteries weigh on average about 12 oz. more than the standard off the shelf battery packs.  However, one must remember that there are “NO” batteries in the tool, making it much lighter and safer to use. The 2ndCell Tool Power Source batteries are safely incorporated within the Power Tool Belt, Power Tool Kit and Power Tool Pouch giving the tradesman a powerful and flexible Tool Power Source.

How much more does the 2ndCell Systems Batteries cost as compared to other battery packs that I can buy?
